The Ghanaian beauty industry, dominated by local beauty brands, is burgeoning into a multi-million industry consequently it was enlightening that Numero Uno, a department store style shopping destination at Marina Mall, hosted the first session of its Style Talk with “The Business of Beauty”, a discussion featuring local beauty entrepreneurs.
Beauty Entrepreneurs including Stephanie Adu, Founder and CEO of Colorbox Cosmetics, Violet Amo Amoabeng, Founder of Skin Gourmet, Asare Prince Owusu, Celebrity and Editorial Makeup artist shared their insights and thoughts about the beauty industry in Ghana. The event was moderated by beauty blogger, Ruth Nartey.
“The beauty industry in Ghana is fairly unexplored, there are new trends popping up and endless opportunities to be seized. We need people that are aggressive, relentless and consistent and are willing to push the limits of creativity and passionate about contributing positively to the beauty industry,” shared Stephanie Adu of ColorBox Cosmetics, a Ghanaian Makeup Brand.
Following the discussion, guests enjoyed music, Nouba cosmetics makeovers and drinks provided by Marina Market Wine Shop while shopping from Numero Uno’s many promotions on designer apparel, footwear and accessories for men, women and children.
“We recently added an Italian cosmetics brand, Nouba, to our collection. Launching Nouba was an ideal opportunity to introduce our Style Talk series with a discussion on following your passion for beauty as an entrepreneur,” said Nadine El Khoury Yazbeck, Numero Uno Ghana’s manager, who also provided guests with a complimentary 20GHC shopping voucher to be used towards purchases made during the event.
The Numero Uno Style Talk series will provide a platform for fashion and beauty personalities and entrepreneurs to share their voice and experience on the state and future of style in Ghana with incentives for guests to take advantage of the store’s great shopping deals.
